One of the main museums in Prague which has many masterpieces. The collection consists mainly of sculptures and paintings from the 14th century, the golden age of Bohemia's artistic creation.
In a splendid building, the oldest Gothic monument in the city, the most important artists of that time are exhibited: the anonymous master of the cycle of Vyšší Brod who stands out for his symbolic and symbolic wealth of his works, the master Théodoric whose portraits embody of genial form the theological and political vision of the emperor Carlos IV and the master Třeboň and its works of a lyricism and mysticism without equal.
After the Catholicism produced by the Hussite wars that plundered the country, Bohemian art from the 15th and 16th centuries was considered less interesting. However, this exposure based on the different breeding sources in Europe is very interesting.
