The Adaly Museum and its important exhibitions have a private art gallery, so that artists from the region and from all over the country can promote and market their works.
Haroldo Di Giaimo was born on August 7, 1933, in the city of Guaratinguetá-SP, land of former President Rodrigues Alves, and of Frei Galvão (the first Brazilian saint). He began painting in 1947, when he produced the paintings by Bernard Shaw, Michel'Angelo Buonarroti and Toscanini. Married Felicia Massa Di Giaimo, the couple has four children: Rossana, Alexandre, Kátia and Luciana, all married. They have six grandchildren: Renata, Fernanda, Giovanna, Mariella, Ana Paula and Pietro. Haroldo studied at the Paulista Association of Fine Arts in 1962, where he painted several works, and was accompanied by private teachers. He moved to Caraguatatuba in 1963, where he lives today. His artistic preference is oil painting on canvas and pastel on cardboard through his academic style. From 1963 to 1995, he painted two wall works in Caraguatatuba, measuring 3x4 m and 3x3 m: "The Old Man and the Sea" and "Deer in the Lake". In September 1995 Di Giaimo returned to painting and has completed over 180 works during this period, including the painting "Mother Julia Salzano" which will be beatified in Rome. The painting measures 70 x 100 cm and is exhibited in the Catholic Church of the Ipiranga neighborhood of Caraguatatuba, and "O Adeus", which was chosen to be exhibited in Avaré, interior of the state.
