The front has a symmetrical structure with two side towers, in one of which are the original bells of the old Church, and with a triangular front, which has figures in relief.
To the left of the entrance to the Church, there is a chapel that houses the image of the Virgen de los Desamparados, patron saint of Valencia, which comes from Spain and was located in the old temple.
Inside, which has a central nave and two sides, stand out six murals, which are inlaid with venecitas, and also the benches, which have colorful bronze sconces.
To the right of the main altar, in the Capilla del Santísmo Sacramento, there is an image of San Héctor Valdivielso, the first Argentine saint. The Chapel of Nuestra Señora del Rosario de San Nicolás is located on a side altar.
The Basilica of San Nicolás de Bari is a religious temple located in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in honor of San Nicolás de Bari.
On August 23, 1812, the national flag was raised in the old church for the first time in the city of Buenos Aires, on the occasion of a religious act.
