Varenna is a quiet village on the eastern branch of Lake Como, where you find Villa Monastero, famous for its well-trimmed gardens. You can easily move around the lake by ferry and hydrofoil and get to Como, Lecco, Bellagio and Menaggio. A few meters away there is the beach with sun umbrellas and loungers, whilst in the city center you find plenty of shops, a bank, a grocery shop and several restaurants. Lecco and Colico are 15 km away.

The area offers plenty of sport facilities (golf courses and riding school), trekking and cycle paths; moreover, you can go water skiing and sailing.

The railway station is about 200 mt away (trains to Lecco, Milan, Sondrio, Como). At 50 mt there is the taxi stand and Varenna harbour.
