With a variety of game and bird species, Waterberg Wilderness is located 90 km east of Otjiwarongo. This private nature reserve offers views of the mountain plateau and Kalahari plains.
Waterberg Wilderness offers two accommodation establishments. Guests can choose between the Waterberg Plateau Lodge on the mountain slope and Waterberg Wilderness Lodge in a valley. The rooms are spacious and the beds are draped with a mosquito net. Each room comes equipped with a seating area, en-suite bathroom and features a patio with views of the Kalahari plains or the mountain.
Both lodges feature a swimming pool and a restaurant with a fireplace. Free WiFi is available at the main reception of the nature reserve.
Guests can relax in the garden and enjoy the scenic surrounds. Activities include game drives in the Kalahari plains, guided hikes to the mountain plateau and cultural tours at a charge.
The Hoba Meteorite, near Grootfontein is within a 2 hours’ drive and the Etosha National Park is within a 4 hours’ drive.
