A 17th-century stone cottage on the southern coast of the Isle of Wight, Westgate Cottage is found in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Between Steephill Cove and the village of St Lawrence, this luxurious 4-bedroom cottage has a 4-star rating from Visit England and offers free parking and Wi-Fi.
The cottage sleeps up to 8 guests, with 3 twin rooms alongside a double with king-size bed and views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. A lounge with fireplace and leather sofas has a flat-screen TV and DVD player, and a range of CDs, DVDs, books and games.
Westgate Cottage features a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Ironing facilities, a washing machine and tumble dryer are provided, and there is an oak dining table and French doors leading to the balcony.
Ventnor’s pretty town centre is a 3-minute drive away, or a picturesque walk of around 30 minutes. The dramatic coastline of the Undercliff has inspired poets and writers including Keats and Dickens, and the area was frequented by Queen Victoria, whose former home Osborne House is around 14 miles away.
